The Bachelor of Education (Honours) in Primary Education prepares students to become qualified primary school teachers. It suits secondary school leavers and other entrants who wish to teach children aged approximately six to twelve, and who want a degree that leads to formal teacher qualification recognised by the Education Bureau.
Structure and Duration
The programme is offered full-time over four years. The curriculum totals around 120 credit points, combining compulsory education courses, one or two teaching subject specialisms, general education courses and supervised teaching practice. Students typically take four to five courses each term, with teaching practice concentrated in dedicated blocks during the later years of study.

- Non-local qualifications are considered individually against equivalent standards
Career Prospects
Graduates are eligible to register as qualified primary school teachers in Hong Kong. Most graduates take up teaching posts in government, aided or private primary schools, while others progress into curriculum panel or subject-leadership roles, school administration, or further study at postgraduate level.
