The Faculty of Education and Human Development prepares the teachers, psychologists, counsellors and education leaders who shape how Hong Kong learns — from a child's first words in a kindergarten to the policy decisions taken for a whole school system.
Our five departments cover the full arc of that work, and they are deliberately kept close together: a study of early literacy changes how a curriculum course is taught, a counselling placement changes how a policy module is written. We measure ourselves by what our graduates do once they leave, and by whether the research we publish reaches the classrooms it was written about.
