The programme is offered part-time over two years, with an accelerated part-time mode available to students who can take a higher course load. Classes are held in the evenings and on Saturdays to accommodate serving teachers. The programme carries a total of 30 credit points, comprising core courses in education studies, a choice of specialisation courses, and a capstone project or dissertation.
