The Bachelor of Social Sciences (Honours) in Psychology provides a broad, research-based foundation in the science of behaviour and mental processes. It suits students who are curious about how people think, feel and act, and who may wish to proceed to professional training in clinical, educational or occupational psychology, or to careers in human resources, social services or research.
Structure and Duration
The programme is offered full-time over four years and normally carries around 120 credit points, made up of core psychology courses, research methods and statistics courses, elective courses and a final-year research project. Students typically take four to five courses each term, and the degree is recognised by the Hong Kong Psychological Society as fulfilling the academic requirement for graduate membership.

Career Prospects
Graduates pursue careers in human resources, social and community services, market research, education support and administration, or proceed to postgraduate training leading to registration as a clinical, educational or other applied psychologist. Others continue to postgraduate research in psychology or related social sciences.
