Professor Cheung Ka Wai leads the Department of Special Education and Counselling and teaches on the Master of Arts in Special Educational Needs and Inclusive Education. Her work concerns how mainstream schools organise themselves around learning diversity: timetabling, co-teaching, tiered support and the everyday decisions that make an inclusive classroom workable.
She has advised school leadership teams on whole-school inclusion planning and on positive behavioural support, and supervises research students working on SEN provision in Hong Kong primary and secondary schools.
